Senior backend engineer

Northwind Studio is a small product team building scheduling software for clinics abroad. They are hiring a senior backend engineer in Beirut to own the API layer, work directly with the founders, and help shape what gets built next.

What you will do

• Design and maintain the core API and database schema
• Ship features end to end, from a rough idea to production
• Review code and mentor two junior engineers
• Join weekly planning with the founders in London
• Keep an eye on performance and reliability as the product grows

What you will need

• Four or more years building backend systems in production
• Strong Node.js and PostgreSQL
• Comfortable owning a service from design to deploy
• Clear written English for a fully remote founding team
• Based in or near Beirut, for the occasional in-person day
